What are the key steps in the application process?

Prior to the commencement of the Observership year, the Observership Program matches Candidates with participating host boards. The right fit is paramount.
There is a competitive application process, which includes:
- Application period: June 22 – August 16, 2026
- Notification of application receipt: 21 August 2026
- Application review by The Program: August 16 – 8 September 2026
- Notification of application status: 10 september 2026
- Observership Program interviews (if selected): 10 September – 9 October 2026
- Notification of application status: 16 October 2026
- Board interviews (if selected): 16 October – 21 December 2026
- Notification of application status: 22 December 2026
It is important to note that this is a highly competitive process and only the strongest candidates will progress through each stage to the next.
